The NDA signed before you show anything
The NDA signed by both sides before you show anything, with the date of every signature on record. The date is the part that gets argued about later, and here it is fixed by the server, not by anyone’s memory.

From a loose PDF to a contract with evidence
Six steps from the agreement PDF to both signatures, each with its server date and time.
Signing is the easy part. Proving it should be too.
A signature with no trail is worth nothing. Every SektorSign contract travels with its own evidence: who, when, from where, and on exactly which document.
- 01SHA-256 hash of the document
Computed when the contract closes. Change a comma in the signed PDF and the hash stops matching, immediately and visibly.
- 02IP address and device for every action
Where it was opened and signed from, along with the browser and operating system used.
- 03Server date and time
Every event is stamped with the server’s time, not with the clock on the signer’s device.
- 04Full downloadable history
Created, sent, opened, signed and closed: an evidence report that travels with the signed PDF.
- 05Encrypted in transit, servers in the EU
TLS 1.3 between the browser and the server. Documents are stored in Germany and are not shared with third parties.

To sign, the other person needs no account.

They get a link by email, open the document on their phone and sign. No sign-up, nothing to install, and nothing for you to explain.
- 01They open the link in the email
No account, no password: the link is the access. The viewer loads the whole document.
- 02They work through their fields
A counter takes them to the next required field. Nobody signs a half-filled document.
- 03They draw or type their signature
A finger on a phone screen, or their name typed. Both are recorded the same way.
- 04They accept the consent
A plain tick box states what gets recorded: declared identity, IP address, date, time and hash.
- 05They get their copy
The signed document and the evidence report, immediately and by email as well.

In detail
A confidentiality agreement only does its job if it is signed before the conversation it protects. When signing it takes a week, the meeting happens anyway and the document turns up afterwards, which is the same as not turning up at all.
From sending it to having it back
Upload your own NDA as a PDF, place the other side’s fields, and send it to the address you are about to talk to. They open the link, read it, sign, done. No sign-up, no app, no certificate to install — which matters, because the person you are asking has no reason to set up an account to do you a favour.
The date is the part that gets argued about
With an NDA, what comes up later is almost never whether it was signed. It is when. The evidence report records the date and time of each signature alongside the hash of the document, so the signed version and its moment are tied together.
Worth being precise about this: that timestamp is SektorSign’s server time, not a timestamp from a trust service provider. It is our own record — good for the ordinary case, and not the same thing as a qualified timestamp.
Mutual NDAs
When both sides are disclosing, both sides sign. Each party gets their own fields and their own link, and the document does not close until everyone has signed. The report covers all of them.
Questions about signing an NDA online
Exact answers. None of them promises anything the product does not do today.
Does it work for a mutual NDA where both sides sign?
Yes. Each party has their own fields and their own link, and the document is not complete until all of them have signed.
Is the signing time a qualified timestamp?
No. It is our server time, recorded in the evidence report next to the hash of the document. A qualified timestamp is issued by a trust service provider and is a different thing.
